GAO Cites Corrective Actions, Penalties for Keystone Pipeline

The Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) imposed corrective actions on Canada-based TC Energy and penalized the energy company for its operation of the Keystone Pipeline because of large oil spills, according to the Government Accountability Office (GAO).  Since 2010, Keystone has transported more than 3 billion barrels of crude oil from Canada to refineries in Illinois, Oklahoma, and Texas, GAO noted in a report released Aug. 23. Prior to […]
